My Story

My name is Andrea Celeste Hernandez, I grew up on the west side of SATX. I come from a long line of artists and musicians, and have somehow always been surrounded by some of the most talented people on the planet. The world is filled with creatives of all mediums and disciplines that are yet to be discovered. I have witnessed at every stage in my life that art in any form is the greatest demonstration of our ability, as humans, to make our internal selves tangible to one another, and I want everyone in the world to recognize the brilliant value of this quality in human nature. Personally, my goal in life is to pursue a career in academia dedicated to studying how people use visual and oral storytelling as a means of healing and building community. In the meantime, Artcanon is one of several ways I hope to help local artists develop in their careers.
